Diazepam Drug Information And Source

As you can see diazepam has a wide range of uses and was quickly embraced by the medical community as almost a wonder drug for its time. Diazepam is still as popular today as it was 40 years ago as your see from the figures below. In 1999 The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry commissioned a survey across America to discover the extent of anxiety related disorders and the results that came back where quite staggering. The study revealed that between 40 to 50 million Americans where going to their doctor in any one year and registering anxiety symptoms. The breakdown of symptoms is as follows. 19 million people registered anxiety from phobias, 15 million people for social anxiety disorder, 6.8 million for generalized anxiety, 7.8 million people for post traumatic stress disorder and 6 million for direct anxiety and panic attacks. Considering this study was conducted ten years ago it’s hard to imagine that these numbers have dropped considering the cascade of world events that have transpired.
